Perka

GDPR and Data Rights

Perka includes data-rights workflows for business accounts and customer rewards profiles. This page explains how to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or account deletion.

Effective date: June 18, 2026

Rights we support

Depending on your location and the lawful basis for processing, you may be able to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent.

The right to erasure is not absolute. Some data may need to be retained for legal obligations, fraud prevention, security, accounting, provider records, dispute handling, or legal claims.

Business account deletion

Business users can request account deletion from Settings. The deletion flow asks for explicit confirmation before removing the authenticated account.

Deleting a business account removes the user account and cascades the associated business workspace, programs, customers, rewards, transactions, and locations in the application database, subject to backups, provider records, legal obligations, and security-retention needs.

Customer rewards profile deletion

If you joined a local business rewards program, contact that business first or email privacy@perka.example with the business name, your name, email or phone number, and the request you want to make.

Perka may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. If the local business is the controller, Perka may forward or coordinate the request with that business.

Response timing

We aim to respond to valid data-rights requests without undue delay and within one month where GDPR or UK GDPR timing applies.

If a request is complex or repeated, the response period may be extended where the law allows. We will explain the reason for any extension or refusal.

Backups and processors

When data is deleted from live systems, copies may remain in encrypted backups until those backups expire or are overwritten. Backup data is kept beyond use and is not restored except for security, continuity, or legal reasons.

If personal data has been shared with processors or wallet/payment providers, we will take reasonable steps to handle the request with those providers where required and technically possible.

Complaints

You may have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in the UK, the ICO is the likely supervisory authority. If you are in the EU, you may contact the supervisory authority where you live or work.

Please contact privacy@perka.example first so we can try to resolve the issue quickly.
