Request a refund

Email legal@joinperka.com from your purchasing email address with the subject “Refund request”, the event and package, order or Payfast payment reference, amount, payment date and reason. If you cannot access that email, contact us so we can verify your authority another way. A refund request is separate from cancelling future subscription renewals.

We acknowledge the request within 2 business days and communicate a decision, reasons and any remedy within 10 business days. If we need information from you, we explain what is missing and keep you updated. Payment errors are investigated within 5 calendar days of being reported. These service targets do not extend any shorter statutory deadline that applies.

When a refund or other remedy applies

Duplicate payments, incorrect amounts, a paid package that was not delivered, and material service faults are investigated against the payment and service records. We correct the charge, provide the service or issue the refund due for the affected service as appropriate under applicable law. Report suspected unauthorised payments immediately to Perka and your bank.

Where the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act gives a consumer a cooling-off right for services, cancellation may be made within 7 days after conclusion of the agreement, subject to the Act's exclusions, including services begun with the consumer's consent during that period. Where that right applies, the statutory refund period is 30 days from cancellation. Other Consumer Protection Act rights, including rights relating to deficient services or applicable fixed-term agreements, remain available. We assess whether these provisions apply to your transaction; software access does not create a blanket waiver of them.

For a change of mind, an event postponement or cancellation, or unused time after software has been delivered, contact us for individual review. There is no additional unconditional money-back guarantee or automatic pro-rata credit. This does not limit a remedy or refund required by law. No physical goods are supplied, so physical returns and return-delivery charges do not apply.

How approved refunds are paid

Approved refunds are initiated through Payfast against the original transaction and returned through the original payment method where supported. We confirm the amount and initiation to you. The bank or payment provider controls when the credit appears; if it is delayed, contact us with the refund reference. If the original method cannot receive the refund, we agree a verified alternative with the original payer. Do not send replacement banking details in your initial request.

We do not charge a Perka refund administration fee. A full or partial refund is identified in the decision. Any change to software access is explained with the remedy. Contact us if you disagree with the decision; you retain your bank's dispute process and any applicable consumer complaint or court remedies.
