Payfast payments in ZAR

Perka uses Payfast's hosted checkout for software package payments in South African rand (ZAR). The methods available for your transaction are shown by Payfast. Availability depends on the merchant configuration and whether the payment is once-off or recurring. Perka does not promise every Payfast payment method is enabled.

The checkout review shows the package, selected event, full amount and annual renewal schedule where applicable. New subscriptions are annual and paid upfront. Existing monthly agreements keep their original schedule. You can go back to correct details before authorising payment. No physical shipping fee is added. Perka is not VAT registered and does not charge VAT.

Payment information and security

You enter sensitive payment details on Payfast's hosted payment page. Perka's package checkout does not receive or store your full card number or CVV. Perka sends Payfast your account email, order reference, package description, amount, return and notification addresses, and recurring-payment instructions when selected. Payfast processes payment information under its own privacy policy.

Perka records order and payment references, the purchaser's account and email, package, amount, status and confirmation times. A recurring payment also creates a provider subscription token used to manage billing; it is not a card number. These records support delivery, reconciliation, refunds and disputes. The browser's payment-return URL is not treated as proof of payment: Perka checks the payment notification before activating a package.

Use the HTTPS website and check that the payment authorisation is on Payfast before entering payment information. Never send card numbers, CVVs, bank passwords or one-time codes to Perka by email. Report suspicious payment requests to the support email.

Your payment records

The purchasing account can view recorded orders, payment results and subscription access under Organiser → Plan & billing. Payment-history CSV files are account records, not tax invoices. Contact Perka for a purchase receipt or payment query and quote the order reference. Keep Payfast's payment confirmation as well.
